Week of 11/6/2005
Witty one liner: There’s a light at the end of every tunnel, just pray it’s not a train.
Quote of the week: Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, but revenge is too.
Offbeat oddity (courtesy of the planner): Mosquitoes are attracted to the color blue twice as much as any other color.
Wow, this week was REALLY positive. I mean, I really do feel that light at the end of the tunnel being a train sentiment. Trying to find coffee on Sunday was much harder than it should ever have to be. I forgot to buy milk so I couldn’t make my usual iced or hot latte to take with me, so I planned to get a coffee when I got my friend his coffee, but then my friend wasn’t even in Manhattan and the coffee shop wasn’t open. THEN I got to Konditori (bless their beautiful hearts) and their wifi was down so they couldn’t take cards and I didn’t have enough cash for a latte so I had to hunt down an ATM to get money and then go back to Konditori to get my first cup of coffee of the day. As I said to my fellow volunteer at Bluestockings, “I feel like being shot in the face with shotgun would have been easier than trying to find coffee this morning.”
As for revenge….yes it is sweet, but remember it is also best served cold.
And I guess it’s a good thing I usually wear mostly black! Mosquitoes can’t find me!
