Silver hairs curl up around his dark brown cornrows that are shot through with silver as well. A black earwarmer headband covers just the tops of his ears. The young child next to him offers him a bite of her breakfast sandwich and he accepts. Black beads from the bottoms of his cornrows lay lightly…

She stands with her big, black backpack between her feet like a penguin and its egg. When she has to move she pushes it around with her foot or picks it up by the handle with one hand instead of shuffling around with it on her feet. Her legs are clad in skinny black pants…

Sleeping and Pouting

He looks like he is sleeping and pouting, not reading on his tablet which I can clearly see him fiddling with, flipping through articles of the Economist. Head tilted down to look at the screen, his eyes lowered to read, he appears asleep, but his lips slightly pushed out giving him a resting pout face….
