Books on the Train

This is the second time I have seen someone reading a book I have read before this week. Yesterday morning a woman was reading The History of the World in 10 1/2 Short Chapters – I have only read the first chapter of that book, but that was the best one according to my father. This woman is reading Tim O’Brien The Things They Carried and all I want to do is write my e-mail in her copy of it and ask her to e-mail me with her thoughts. I first read that book in high school and it deeply affected me. The stark way it is written, the content, the characters, the blurred line between reality, truth, and facts. The moral ambiguity and what people have to survive during a war. It made me want to read it again.
